This 12-month maternity leave contract offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume ecommerce environment alongside a passionate and collaborative team.
About The Role
As a Merchandise Planner, you’ll partner closely with the Buying and Category teams to manage financial, demand, and supply plans across an extensive SKU range. You’ll analyse forecasts, optimise stock levels, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve sales, margin, and inventory targets.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to balance analytical thinking with relationship management.
What You’ll Do
- Manage SKU-level forecasting, sales analysis, and replenishment planning for a large, complex product range
- Partner with the Buying Team to plan new and exit items, pricing, and promotional activities
- Analyse forecast accuracy and performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities
- Collaborate across Planning, Operations, and Category teams to align stock, financial, and marketing plans
- Provide insights and recommendations that improve sales, margin, and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in merchandise planning within a reputable ecommerce or omni-channel retail environment
- Experience with planning systems such as RELEX or similar tools is highly advantageous
- Proven experience managing large SKU counts and high-volume inventory
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence Buying and Category stakeholders
- Highly analytical mindset and advanced Excel proficiency
- Must be able to pass an aptitude test as part of the selection process
