Description
As Head of Brand, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Hoselink’s brand strategy during this maternity cover period. Leading a talented marketing and creative team, you will ensure the Hoselink brand continues to thrive, delivering powerful campaigns, compelling storytelling, and consistent brand experiences across all touchpoints.
This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives - from driving brand health and partnerships, to managing marketing calendars and mentoring creative talent.
Key responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Lead the refinement and execution of Hoselink’s brand strategy, positioning, messaging and visual identity, ensuring consistency across all channels.
- Monitor and drive brand health, market share, and commercial outcomes.
- Champion brand within the organisation; driving brand education, upholding alignment to core brand proposition, and driving brand equity.
- Enhance storytelling across email, SMS, and loyalty touchpoints, collaborating with the E-commerce Manager to create personalised, brand-led journeys.
- Work to monthly and overall annual marketing budgets.
Marketing Calendar & Campaigns
- Strategically plan and manage Hoselink’s marketing calendar, aligning brand initiatives with business priorities, performance initiatives, product launches, seasonal campaigns, and cultural moments.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated brand campaigns, from ideation through to delivery.
- Write strategic creative briefs and collaborate with internal content teams, agencies, and freelancers to deliver engaging, high-quality brand assets.
- Ensure that brand initiatives deepen customer loyalty and enhance the end-to-end customer experience across all touchpoints.
Content & Storytelling
- Partner closely with the content team to develop and oversee engaging brand stories and content across digital, social, and traditional channels.
- Ensure Hoselink’s brand voice is consistent, distinctive, and connects emotionally with customers to drive engagement and affinity.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Management
- Identify, build and nurture relationships with strategic brand partners, ambassadors, influencers and collaborators.
- Negotiate agreements and ensure partnership effectiveness aligns with brand objectives.
- Work cross-functionally with leaders across the business to align brand initiatives with company goals.
- Lead and execute on Hoselink’s PR & Communications strategy to strengthen brand reputation and awareness.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of marketing and creative professionals (2+ direct reports), fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage external agencies and freelancers to ensure creative excellence and brand alignment.
- Act as a brand guardian, maintaining high creative standards across all brand touchpoints to ensure Hoselink’s premium positioning.
Measurement & Insights
- Use brand tracking tools, research, and analytics to measure campaign performance and brand health.
- Track and analyse KPIs including brand awareness, consideration, sentiment and campaign performance.
- Leverage consumer insights and market research to optimise brand strategy, shape messaging frameworks and inform future initiatives.
- Monitor engagement and community sentiment to evolve our content approach.
- Stay ahead of market trends, customer behaviours, and cultural movements to identify brand-building opportunities.
About You
We are looking for a collaborative and strategic brand leader who can hit the ground running. You’ll combine creativity with commercial savvy, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in brand marketing, ideally in DTC, consumer goods, retail, or eCommerce.
- Passionate about brands, storytelling and consumer engagement.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Proven track record in brand strategy, positioning, and delivering measurable brand and commercial outcomes.
- Demonstrated success managing complex marketing calendars and multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proven success collaborating with creative teams, channel managers and external freelancers and agencies.
- Strong creative judgment.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with experience building partnerships and managing ambassadors.
- Familiarity with tools such as digital asset management systems and brand tracking software.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Australian permanent residency or citizenship
- Passionate about nature and/or gardening, with a good sense of humour, is a plus
